yeah I doubt LJ gives a shit about fucking over what is honestly a niche feature that most of their paying membership doesn't use.

I don't mind manually cross posting—I often write my posts, mark up and all, in a text editor anyway, and there's always third party clients to try—but I semi regularly imported comments from LJ to DW (and was slowly deleting old LJ posts that had been imported in their entirety) and I will genuinely miss the ability to do that. I have several friends who are exclusive to LJ so I have no intention of abandoning it but... ugh. Annoying.

Thank you for the link, I'd only heard vague explanations of "changes at LJ" but couldn't find a post here laying it all out. That's not a slam on DW though, and I expect we'll see a post in news soon enough.
